Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
The visionary game developer, who helped create the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California aged 55.
The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.
The renowned game designer passed away following his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a devastating loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, his family, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
